Filling Your Hot Tub

1

Fill to the maximum line

Using a garden hose, fill the tub with cold water up to the MAX fill line marked on the interior wall. Do not overfill — water above this line can overflow and strain the pump.

2

Check the filters are seated correctly

Before switching on, confirm both filter cartridges are firmly seated in their housings. Running the pump without filters can cause pump failure — this counts as damage and a charge will apply.

3

Connect to a weatherproof outdoor socket

Plug in using the supplied RCD-protected cable to a weatherproof outdoor socket only. Never use an indoor extension lead. Keep the cable clear of puddles and foot traffic at all times.

Heating Up — Lay-Z-Spa Control Panel

⚠️

Important — Do not switch on heat mode until the water reaches the maximum fill line. Running the pump without sufficient water will cause it to overheat and fail. Fill to the MAX line before pressing any buttons.

The hot tub takes 12–24 hours to reach full temperature depending on conditions. Keep the cover on while it heats — this makes a significant difference to warm-up time and keeps running costs down.

Daily Care & Maintenance

🪣

Rotate & Rinse Filters Daily

This is the single most important step. Every 1–2 days, remove one filter cartridge, rinse it thoroughly under a tap, and replace it — then swap the other. Debris in the pump is the most common cause of failure during hire.

🛡️

Always Replace the Cover

The cover goes back on every time the tub is not in use. It retains heat, keeps debris and insects out, and is a vital safety barrier for children and pets. Never leave the tub open and unattended.

🫧

Using the Bubble Jets

Use bubbles in sessions of 20–30 minutes — avoid running them continuously for hours. Let the tub reach your target temperature fully before switching to bubble mode.

🧪

Water Treatment

Your water is already treated — before every hire we load slow-release chlorine tablets into the built-in dispenser. This keeps the water sanitised throughout your stay. For short hires of 2–3 days no further chemical testing is required from you. If the water looks unusual at any point, just give us a call.

💧

Water Level

Check the water level each day and top up with a hose if it drops below the minimum line. Running the pump low on water causes it to overheat.

🌡️

Temperature & Soak Time

Most adults find 37–40°C comfortable. Limit soaks to 20–30 minutes at high temperatures, stay hydrated, and take breaks. Avoid the tub if unwell, pregnant, or after consuming alcohol.

Safety Rules

🚬
No Smoking Strictly no smoking in or directly around the hot tub. Burns cause irreparable damage to the liner and the full damage charge will apply.
🍷
No Glass or Footwear No glass of any kind, and no shoes or sandals in or near the tub. Broken glass in a spa is extremely dangerous.
🔥
No Open Flames Nearby Keep the tub well clear of BBQs, fire pits, patio heaters, and candles. The inflatable liner is flammable.
🤿
Don't Submerge Head or Hair Hair can become trapped in the intake valves, creating a serious entrapment hazard. Tie back long hair before entering.
💄
Limit Heavy Makeup & Oils Avoid excessive non-waterproof makeup, fake tan, or body oils — these stain the liner and unbalance water chemistry.
👶
No Unsupervised Children Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Children under 5 should not use the hot tub.
🚿
Rinse Before Entering A quick shower before use removes body products, extends water clarity, and means fewer chemicals are needed throughout your hire.
💦
Stay Hydrated Hot water causes perspiration. Drink water regularly and take a break every 20–30 minutes to cool down.
5

Damage Policy

⚠️

Damage Charge Applies

£250

Any damage to the hot tub — including burns, punctures, tears to the liner or cover, or pump failure caused by misuse (such as running without filters installed) — carries a £250 damage charge payable upon collection. Our team inspect the unit on collection. We trust you to look after the equipment — these rules simply protect everyone.

6

Collection Day — What to Do

Before Our Team Arrives

  • Leave the hot tub fully set up and erected — do not dismantle it.
  • Leave it full of water — heating mode does not need to be on.
  • Leave the tub plugged in so the pump remains accessible for our team.
  • If possible, have a garden hose available — this allows us to rinse the tub out during collection and greatly speeds things up.
  • Ensure there is clear access to the hot tub at the agreed collection time.
  • Remove all personal items, glasses, and accessories from the tub and surrounding area.
